Updated Me

Well I think the concert for Jan. 14th is all planned out now. Only thing I'm still working on is obtaining a PA system for the upstairs stage... but other than that, everything else is in order. =) I can't wait till the show. There are so many people I've met through LouisvilleMojo that I've never gotten to meet in person. And all of them will be at the concert. =) I'm pretty excited about it now.

I think we're gonna move soon. We've been talking about moving more toward the south end of the city lately and I think we're gonna try it. Everyone we ever hang out with lives either HIllView, Fairdale or Dixie and all 3 of those areas are like half an hour from us.. lol........... Plus, to rent a 3bdrm. house out that way costs about the same as this shoebox apt. does. We just need to move and get everything situated before it's time to enroll Mik into school. I don't want her to be one of those kids that jumps from school to school all the time.

My cousin bought me a refurbished computer for Christmas. He said he did it because he knew we needed one and he wanted to thank me for everything I do for him... I thought that was super sweet of him. So, now I've got it lal hooked up and running, and it's sooo much better than that P.O.S. I was using. lol My copy of Windows is LEGAL again... Whoo-Pee! lol He had told me it had 16 gigs on it..... and that's awesome compared to the 6 gig POS I had before.... friggin Windows takes up like 4 gigs already.. lol so on the other one I had *just enough* room to install firefox onto it.

Anyway, I get this one hooked up and everything, turn it on, and am looking around to see what programs and shit it's got and it's loaded down with stuff..... so I figure I'll lighten it up a bit and delete some of the things I'll never use... so I go and check the pie chart thingy that shows how much free space you've got.... and it says that I have 74.5 gigs and that 62 of them are still free. 62!!! OMG! I've never had a computer with that much space on it... lol Gawd.

So Sean gets all excited that he has so much space and goes and downloads LimeWire again..... lol which is cool I guess.... I've found all kinds of really old songs I used to love and then lost the cd or whatever... Sooo.... now I have a decent computer again.... Yay!

I had a really fun New Years. I was going to do the Highs and Lows of 2006 type thing like everyone else did but I decided that it was more of a low year than a high year, and I'm doing pretty good about everything so I'm not going to pull it all back out again just yet.

So just to sum it all up quickly......

My high of 2006 is all my friends. I met SOOOOOO many wonderful people last year. The majority of them on the internet. And I wouldn't trade them for anything.... I'm not even going to list names because there are so many that I'd forget a few and feel bad for forgetting them.... so you know who you all are. =)

My low is obvious. Losing my momma. =( But I'm coping with it well I think, and each day it gets a little brighter, so I'm trying not to dwell on anything.

2007 has been a whole new experience for me so far already. Sean and I both quit smoking New Years Eve at Midnight. And neither of us have sneaked to smoke or anything... Going on 7 days today smoke free. I haven't really mentioned it because I get a little irritable when 50 people in one day ask me how I'm doing quitting.... lol But at the same time, I need people to stay on me a little. =)
But we're doing a great job... I've read that if you can make it to 10 days that the physical addiction to the nicotine is gone. It takes it 10 days to get out of your body.... so I'm almost there.. lol I still find myself REALLY wanting to smoke but it isn't so much because of any chemical I'm craving, it's more of something to hold and inhale like that........ and those of you that know me know what I've been doing isntead.. lol
